THE FOUR ANGEL'S MESSAGES

A KJV Bible Study on the Final Warning to the World

Introduction

The three angels' messages contain a solemn, worldwide proclamation concerning the everlasting gospel and the preparation of humanity for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

These messages are especially important for the last days because they call every individual to make a decision concerning whom they will worship and obey: The King Jesus of heaven and earth or Satan.

At the center of this final great controversy is the law of God, including the fourth commandment, which begins with the word “Remember.”

The world has largely been taught that the law of God was abolished through the works of Christ on the cross. However, Scripture teaches otherwise:

Romans 3:31 (KJV)
“Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.”

The cross does not abolish God's law. Rather, through Christ, the believer receives the power to live in obedience to God. Christ writes His law upon the heart and mind of His people.

          Hebrews 8:10 (KJV)
“For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be tothem a God, and they shall be to me a people:”

          Jeremiah 31:33 (KJV)
“But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel;    After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts;  and will be their God, and they shall be my people.”

Psalm 19:7 (KJV)
“The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.”

Romans 7:12 (KJV)
“Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.”

The law reveals God's character of love, righteousness, holiness, and the justice of it. Through faith in Christ, God's people are called to establish His law in their lives rather than cast it aside to do the works of Satan.

1. THE FINAL CONTROVERSY

We are living in the midst of a spiritual conflict.

Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

Satan is described in Scripture as the father of lies and the deceiver of the whole world. His work is to separate humanity from God and His truth. One of the great issues in the final controversy concerns worship and obedience.

The three angels' messages present a final warning to the inhabitants of the earth. Revelation 14 calls people to fear God, give Him glory, worship the Creator, reject Babylon, and refuse the worship of the beast and his image.

There will ultimately be no neutral ground in this final conflict. Humanity will be brought face-to-face, in the valley of decision concerning allegiance and worship to the Creator of heaven and earth or to Satan. Everyone will have sufficient light to make a decision concerning whom they will worship and serve.

2. WHERE ARE THE THREE ANGELS' MESSAGES FOUND?

The three angels' messages are found in:

Revelation 14:6–12

A further message is given in Revelation 18 by another angel, calling God's people to separate themselves from Babylon and all her daughters that have united with her in doctrine, traditions of men, drenched in Vatican beliefs and outright apostasy:

Revelation 18:4 (KJV)
“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.”

This message is a proclamation or amplification of the warning given in the three angels' messages for the last days before probation closes on a wicked world and is destroyed for taking sides in this great apostasy of Satan's. This great controversy between Christ and Satan, will leave everyone to decide between good and evil, heaven and hell, rewarded with a crown of victory or rewarded with a crown of eternal death. All will have sufficient light to decide where they stand.

THE FIRST ANGEL'S MESSAGE

Revelation 14:6–7

“And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.”

The first angel's message contains four major elements:

  1. Fear God
  2. Give glory to God
  3. The hour of His judgment is come
  4. Worship the Creator

A. “FEAR GOD”

Ecclesiastes 12:13

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.”

Biblical fear includes reverence, respect, obedience to the law of God, and turning away from sin through breaking it.

Deuteronomy 6:13

“Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.”

Deuteronomy 10:12–13

“And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,

To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which he has commanded His children to do, is good, and will lead everyone to the straight and narrow path to the kingdom of righteousness.

What does the fear of the Lord produce?

Proverbs 9:10 (KJV)
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”

The first angel therefore calls everyone to reverence, obedience, wisdom, and holiness before the Creator of the Universe.

Psalm 119:34
“Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.”

Psalm 119:97
“O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.”

B. “GIVE GLORY TO HIM”

1 Corinthians 10:31

“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”

Giving glory to God involves the way we live our daily lives. No matter what we do,

where we go, or who we are with we must give Christ the glory and not self. Our conduct, choices, words, actions, and worship should point people toward the Creator of Heaven and Earth.

Matthew 5:16

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

What happens when people refuse to give God glory?

Jeremiah 13:16

“Give glory to the LORD your God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while ye look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness.”

The first angel therefore calls people away from darkness and toward the glory and authority of JESUS CHRIST THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD.

C. “THE HOUR OF HIS JUDGMENT IS COME”

The first angel announces that God's judgment has come.

Ecclesiastes 12:14

“For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.”

Daniel 7:10

“A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.”

The judgment theme reminds us that God sees every work we do in this life, every decision,  and every ounce of work. Nothing is hidden from Him.

Hebrews 4:13 states, "Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight; everything is uncovered and exposed before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account"

Luke 8:17
reinforces this principle: "For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad"

Mark 4:22 similarly declares, "For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be brought to light"

The judgment also emphasizes the seriousness of proclaiming the final gospel message before it is too late and probation closes. We do not want to fall on the wrong side of the Lord when this great controversy is over with. As Christians, we must present the gospel truth and call everyone to repent and worship God on his holy seventh day sabbath, which was made for man and not the Jews alone.

D. “WORSHIP HIM THAT MADE”

The first angel concludes with a call to worship the Creator.

Exodus 20:8–11

“Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.”

The fourth commandment identifies the Creator:

“For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day...”

The Sabbath commandment specifically points the world back to God as the Creator.

Mark 2:27–28

“And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:

Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.”

The first angel's calls everyone to worship the Creator. This call brings the issue of worship and obedience directly into this final conflict before probation closes on this world.

The First Angel’s Message — Synopsis

The first angel calls everyone to:

Fear God → Give Him glory → Recognize the judgment → Worship the Creator.

The first angel’s message, found in Revelation 14:6–7, is a worldwide proclamation of the everlasting gospel of truth. It calls every nation, kindred, tongue, and people to turn their attention back to God and prepare for the final events of earth’s history before probation closes on this world and it is too late for anyone to repent.

The message contains four important calls: “Fear God,” “give glory to him,” recognize that “the hour of his judgment is come,” and “worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.” It is a call to revere God, live according to His will, recognize the seriousness of His judgment, and worship Him as the Creator on the Seventh day Sabbath, which no man can change.

The first angel's message therefore points God's people back to the true gospel, God's judgment, His commandments, and also the true day and type of worship. It is a message of preparation, calling the world to make a decision concerning whom they will worship and serve before the final mark of the beast conflict unfolds.

THE SECOND ANGEL'S MESSAGE

Revelation 14:8

“And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.”

The second angel announces the fall of Babylon, the MOTHER OF HARLOTS and the abominations of the earth, which we must never forget she has daughters.

To understand the prophetic symbolism, we must examine the biblical use of Babylon.

WHAT IS BABYLON?

Genesis 11:6–9

The tower of Babel resulted in confusion and the scattering of the world.

“Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth...”

Babylon therefore becomes associated with confusion and rebellion against the Creator of Heaven and Earth.

Revelation 18:2

“Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.”

Revelation also presents Babylon as a system associated with spiritual darkness, falsehoods, and rebellion against the Author of Life.

THE WINE OF BABYLON

Jeremiah 51:7

“Babylon hath been a golden cup in the LORD'S hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad.”

Synopsis

In Bible prophecy, the wine of Babylon represents the teachings, principles, and influences that lead people away from the truth of God. Jeremiah describes Babylon as a “golden cup” whose wine made the nations spiritually drunk and confused.

The imagery is important: something may appear attractive and valuable on the outside, yet what is contained within can lead people into deception. The nations “have drunken of her wine”, and as a result, they became confused and spiritually impaired.

This theme continues in Revelation, where Babylon is again described as influencing the nations:

Revelation 14:8 (KJV)
“Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.”

The second angel's message therefore warns God's people about spiritual deception and calls them to recognize Babylon's false teachings and separate themselves from her influence. The warning of the second angel is therefore a call to recognize spiritual deception and to separate truth from error.

Examples identified in this study include:

  • Sunday worship
  • Pagan holidays
  • Worship of saints or the dead
  • Graven images
  • The doctrine of the immortality of the soul
  • Worldliness
  • Church-state union
  • Ecclesiastical hierarchy
  • Ecumenism
  • Persecution of those who reject Satan's authority
  • Making void the commandments of God
  • Salvation based upon church membership
  • Pagan symbols
  • False doctrines and heresies
  • Corrupt teachings concerning Scripture
  • Worldly entertainment and influences

These subjects should be tested by the Word of God rather than accepted merely because they are widely practiced and fed to the world as truth by the Vatican and her daughters, which will agree upon SUNDAY WORSHIP especially.

The Vatican is the Mother of Harlots and abominations of the earth. She clearly says in her wine that has made the nations drunk:

VATICAN ADMITS SUNDAY IS THEIR MARK!
"Of course the Catholic Church claims that the change (Saturday Sabbath to Sunday) was her act... And the act is a MARK of her ecclesiastical authority in religious things." H.F. Thomas, Chancellor of Cardinal Gibbons. Nov. 11, 1895

"Sunday is our MARK of authority. . .the church is above the Bible, and this transference of Sabbath observance is proof of that fact" Catholic Record of London, Ontario Sept 1,1923.

LIGHT AND DARKNESS

John 3:19

“And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.”

The problem is not always a lack of information. Scripture warns that people may reject truth because they prefer darkness over the light.

John 3:19 "And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil."

John 3:20 "For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved."

John 3:21 "But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God."

Jesus also warned:

Matthew 24:24

“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”

Therefore, God's people must test every teaching by the KJV Scripture.

1 John 4:1-3 states: "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God; and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world"

Titus 1:9 "Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers"

The believers are called to hold firmly to the faithful Words of the King James Bible and reject all teachings that contradict sound doctrine.

THE THIRD ANGEL'S MESSAGE

Revelation 14:9–12

“And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,

The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation...”

Revelation 14:12

“Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”

The third angel gives the most solemn warning of the three messages.

The central issue is worship. The Creator's Seventh Day Sabbath -vs- Satan's Sunday

The warning is against:

  1. Worshipping the Vatican beast
  2. Worshipping the Vatican's Church and State image
  3. Receiving his Sunday Worship mark

The passage then presents the character of God's faithful people:

“Here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”

WHAT IS A BEAST IN BIBLE PROPHECY?

Daniel 7:23

“Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth...”

In prophetic symbolism, beasts represent kingdoms, nations or political powers.

Therefore, the identity and authority of that power is represented by a beast.

THE MARK OF THE BEAST

This study identifies the mark of the beast with the issue of Sunday worship and religious authority, particularly in the context of a future enforcement of Sunday observance by the Vatican and through her kings of the earth.

The study distinguishes between:

  • The commandments of God
  • The commandments and traditions of men
  • The final issue of worship and allegiance to Jesus Christ or Satan

The central question becomes:

Whose authority will the world ultimately recognize—God's authority or man's authority? The Creator's Seventh Day Sabbath or Satan's Sunday lie.

Christ is drawing a line in the sand through the 4 angels giving a message that is very clear to get out, to come out of Babylon and her apostate churches that are linked together with Rome. Those that hear, those that can see, and those that will comply with God will obey HIS voice, while the other class will remain in darkness, professing to Love God, but deny Christ in works. They have a dead faith, and laodicea will bear the traits and works of the foolish virgins who have not the light.

THE FOREHEAD AND THE HAND

Romans 7:25 "I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.”

1. The mind chooses between obedience and disobedience
Deuteronomy 30:19
“Choose life…”
Summary: God places life and death before the people — choice is an act of the mind.

Joshua 24:15
“Choose you this day whom ye will serve…”
Summary: Serving God is a decision made in the mind.

2. The mind forms intentions, plans, and decisions
Proverbs 16:9
“A man’s heart deviseth his way…”
Summary: The inner mind plans and chooses a path.

Proverbs 23:7
“As he thinketh in his heart, so is he…”
Summary: Your thoughts define your choices and character.

3. The mind can choose righteousness or sin
Romans 8:6–7
“To be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life…”
Summary: The mind chooses between flesh and Spirit.

Romans 12:2
“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind…”
Summary: Renewal of the mind leads to right choices.

4. The mind decides what to set itself upon
Colossians 3:2
“Set your affection on things above…”
Summary: The mind sets its focus — a deliberate act of  your will.

Philippians 2:5

“Let this mind be in you…”
Summary: You allow or choose the mind of Christ or Satan.

5. The mind chooses what to think about
Philippians 4:8
“Think on these things…”
Summary: You choose what your mind dwells on — free‑will mental direction.

6. The mind can turn toward or away from God
Isaiah 26:3
“Whose mind is stayed on thee…”
Summary: The mind can choose to trust God.

Ezekiel 18:30–32
“Repent, and turn yourselves…”
Summary: Turning to God is a volitional act of the inner person.

7. The mind is accountable for its choices
2 Corinthians 10:5
“Bringing into captivity every thought…”
Summary: You are responsible for controlling your own thoughts.

James 1:14–15
“Every man is tempted… when he is drawn away of his own lust…”
Summary: Sin begins in the mind’s desires — a free‑will choice.

  • Truly, there is without a doubt, the mind is where we make choices between life or death, and obedience to the law of God or to sin. The mind plansintendssetsthinks, and decides. God commands people to choosethinkturnset, and renew — proving free will is there for all to decide. The evidence provided here shows that humans are responsible for their thoughts and choices.

The hand is associated with action or compliance. Like faith and works. What you believe and accept in the mind, it becomes your visible works.

The hand as the instrument of work

These verses explicitly connect your hand with worklaborproduction, or skill.

  • Genesis 3:19 — “In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread.” Summary: Human labor becomes difficult after the fall; the hand becomes the tool of toil.

  • Exodus 35:35 — God fills men with skills to work “all manner of work of the engraver, and of the cunning workman.” Summary: Work done by the hands is empowered by God.

  • Deuteronomy 16:15 — “The LORD thy God shall bless thee in all the work of thine hands.” Summary: God blesses the productivity of your hands.

  • Deuteronomy 24:19 — “When thou cuttest down thine harvest…” Summary: Harvesting is the work of human hands.

  • Deuteronomy 28:12 — “He will bless all the work of thine hand.” Summary: Obedience brings blessing on labor.

  • Psalm 90:17 — “Establish thou the work of our hands.” Summary: God makes human labor successful.

  • Proverbs 10:4 — “He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand.” Summary: Laziness of the hand leads to poverty.

  • Proverbs 12:24 — “The hand of the diligent shall bear rule.” Summary: Diligent hands bring advancement.

  • Ecclesiastes 9:10 — “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might.” Summary: Human hands are the God‑given means of work.

Ancient Babylon and Modern Babylon will continue to be the tool by which the world will be tested. There is nothing new under the sun. What ancient Babylon did is what modern Babylon is doing and will continue to do. Looking into ancient Babylon, we see how captivity removed Israel’s ability to work their lands:

Jeremiah 25:9–11
“…Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon… shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.”
Summary: God hands Judah over to Babylon for their disobedience to heaven. Their land becomes desolate, and they lose all economic independence.

Jeremiah 27:6–8
“I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar…”
Summary: Their lands — the basis of all work (farming, vineyards, livestock) — are taken.
Without land, no one can work or produce.

Jeremiah 32:28–36
“This city shall be given into the hand of the king of Babylon…”
Summary: Jerusalem falls. Homes, fields, and vineyards are lost.
Their productive life collapses.

When Judah rebelled against God, He allowed Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, to invade the land, destroy Jerusalem, and carry the people away captive. In the process, Babylon removed their freedom, their land, their skilled workers, and their economic rights. This will be the same case in the mark of the beast test. If you do not comply with the Vatican's Sunday worship enforcement, they will try to force us against our will, take you by the hand and make you comply. They will try to convince us in our mind to comply and receive benefits, if you reject like Christ did in Matthew 4:1-11, then we will meet the hand of Rome and Satan's wrath as per Revelation 20:4, "And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years."

If you look at the work of ancient Babylon who burned the city, destroyed homes, fields, vineyards, and workshops, and deported craftsmen, smiths, leaders, and laborers, you can see how in modern times the people mostly do not work for themselves but are working for the system to survive. This illusion called "freedom" is captivity where we are being strung up by an invisible rope. No matter what we buy today, you truly do not own it. You constantly have to pay for it, get month insurance, buy things in debt, wrapped tighter and tighter into the illusion we are free when we are not. Those taken to Babylon could no longer work freely in ancient times and so it is for us today. In ancient times of Babylon; Israel had labored under foreign rule, lost ownership of lands, and could not keep the fruit of their labor. History will continue to repeat herself just as Rome did before. Again, look at your own life today and see you are a slave, you own nothing and have to slave unto nearly 70 years old to pay debt.

Rome is moving quickly through the kings of the earth today to tighten up the rope around our lives. Soon, history will repeat when the Lord sees it is time and the harvest is ready for reaping. Rome will say...

"Every man and woman shall repair in the morning to the divine service and sermons preached upon the Sabbath (Sunday), and in the afternoon to divine service, and catechizing, upon pain for the first fault to lose their provision and the allowancefor the whole week following; for the second, to lose the said allowance and also be whipped; and for the third to suffer death."!!! Laws, and Orders, Divine, Politique, & Martial For the Colony in Virginia: first established by Sir Thomas Gates, Knight, Lieutenant - General, the 24th of May, 1610

In short: Babylonian captivity meant the complete removal of Israel’s ability to work, produce, own land, or live independently. Their labor, land, and freedom were all taken and placed under Babylon’s control, and if you do not comply you will receive the wrath of Satan and look death right into her face. We will all be left to decide -- receive the mark of Sunday worship in the mind and agree, or by the hand through force or DIE! True Christians will NOT comply with honoring Satan's Sunday worship which pays homage to him alone. We will only worship the Lord on His ordained Seventh Day Sabbath. Take note, those who claim the mark of the beast is about a computer chip implant, have been lied to by the false teachers of Satan who profess to be the ministers of Righteousness, but they are wolves. The buy and sell system and tracking us will only be used to implement SUNDAY LAWS.

THE BUYING AND SELLING SYSTEM
Revelation 13:16–17 (KJV)
“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.”

This prophecy describes a time when the power represented by the beast of Rome will exercise such extensive influence that buying and selling will be restricted to those who will not worship Satan through the office of Popery and receive the mark of compliance in the mind or in the hand by force. The issue is therefore more than an ordinary economic system; it becomes connected with allegiance, worship, and obedience, OR receive DEATH.

In considering how such a system could operate in the modern world, digital payments and digital currencies provide an example of how money can increasingly move through electronic systems rather than through physical cash. Once you reject Satan's coming global system of SUN-day Sun Worship, they will easily shut off your ability to buy or sell any longer. Digital transactions can be recorded, verified, monitored, and regulated through financial institutions and Satan's one world government systems of control. The merchants of the earth will be in one accord in this one mind system of Satan as per Revelation 17. A highly interconnected global financial system will therefore make it technically possible to place conditions upon a person's ability to conduct financial transactions. Take note, the false prophets today, which is the modern day protestant preachers claiming the prophecy proclaims a literal computer chip as the mark, IT IS FALSE. It is designed to remove you from the truth. Satan wants to be worshipped like God and he will get it through controlling the world through his buy and sell system.

The question for the Christian is not merely:
“What technology will be used?”
but rather:
“Whom will I worship and obey when the final test comes?”
Revelation places the issue of buying and selling within the larger controversy over worship:

Revelation 13:15 (KJV)
“And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.”

They give life to Sunday worship through the state, which is in compliance today through the 501c3 tax code for filthy lucre ministers trying to make a dollar through Vatican support. They are not permitted to speak the truth or they will lose everything and have to pay it all back.
The next verses then describe the mark and the restriction on buying and selling with a death decree to be added --"should be killed...beheaded for not worshipping the beast and image". Revelation 13, 14, 20:4.

The third angel gives the solemn warning:
Revelation 14:9 (KJV)
“If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,”

And Revelation immediately identifies those who remain faithful to Jesus Christ:
Revelation 14:12 (KJV)
“Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”

So, as the world's financial systems become increasingly digital and interconnected, the ability to monitor and regulate economic transactions also increases. These developments may illustrate how the buying-and-selling restriction described in Revelation 13 could be implemented on a worldwide scale very easily. Furthermore, Scripture does not identify digital currency itself as the mark of the beast. The decisive issue in prophecy is worship and allegiance. The final test will concern whether humanity chooses to obey God or submit to the authority represented by the beast -- Rome!

THE FINAL TEST

Humanity will ultimately be brought to a decision.

Matthew 6:24

“No man can serve two masters...”

The final controversy is therefore a question of allegiance.

Will we obey God according to His Word, or will we follow human authority when it conflicts with God's commandments?

Acts 5:29

“We ought to obey God rather than men.”

WHAT HAPPENS TO THOSE WHO REFUSE THE MARK?

Revelation presents a special blessing upon those who remain faithful.

Revelation 20:4

“And I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands...”

The passage identifies people who remained faithful to Christ even under persecution.

They:

  • Witnessed for Jesus
  • Held to the Word of God
  • Refused to worship the beast
  • Refused to worship his image
  • Refused the mark

And:

“they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.”

THE WICKED AND THE SEVEN LAST PLAGUES

The third angel warns of God's wrath against those who ultimately choose rebellion.

Revelation 16 describes the seven last plagues.

The study emphasizes that these judgments fall upon those who persist in rebellion against God.

Please see our 7 last plagues and the 7 Trumpets page.

DO THE WICKED REPENT?

Revelation 9:20–21

“And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands...”

The passage specifically lists:

  • Worship of devils
  • Idolatry
  • Murders
  • Sorceries
  • Fornication
  • Thefts

The warning demonstrates the seriousness of continuing in rebellion even after receiving divine warnings.

WHO WILL NOT RECEIVE THE MARK?

The answer is given immediately following the warning of the third angel.

Revelation 14:12

“Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”

God's faithful people remain loyal to Christ and His LAW! Those who hate the law and make excuses as Satan did in heaven, they will be cursed as Satan.

Exodus 20:5, 6 - Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

The issue is not salvation by human works. Rather, obedience is presented as the fruit of faith and allegiance to God. Your works prove you have faith! James 2.

FAITH AND OBEDIENCE

Revelation 22:14

“Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.”

John 14:15

“If ye love me, keep my commandments.”

Matthew 19:17

“...if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.”

Faith in Christ and obedience to God's commandments must not be placed in opposition to one another.

True faith produces a life of obedience.

THE TWO PATHS

Jesus presented two ways:

Matthew 7:13–14

“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction...”

“Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life...”

Humanity is ultimately confronted with a choice between obedience to God and rebellion against Him.

BEWARE OF FALSE PROPHETS

Matthew 7:15–20

Jesus warned:

“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”

He then gave the test:

“Ye shall know them by their fruits.”

The character and teachings of religious leaders must therefore be tested by the Word of God. Modern Jews claim they only need to keep the law and reject Christ, and the professed Christian world proclaims they don't need the law, only Jesus, but a true Biblical Christian will love Jesus and obey their KING's law, thus they will be heirs to Christ's kingdom which is governed by the same 10 commandments which condemned Satan in his sins.

WE CANNOT SERVE TWO MASTERS

1 Corinthians 10:21

“Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.”

There can be no permanent compromise between God's truth and spiritual error.

THE FOURTH ANGEL — “COME OUT OF HER, MY PEOPLE”

Revelation 18:4

“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.”

The message of Revelation 18 is a further call to God's people to separate themselves from Babylon and its sins. Get out of Babylon and her daughters of apostasy, which is given to Laodiceanism -- SDA Church and the alike off shots who carry the same characteristics.

We must separate from sin, false worship, false doctrine, rebellion against God's Word and any organization who teaches falsehoods.

The call is:

“Come out of her, my people.”

THE FINAL CHOICE

The central issue of the three angels' messages is worship.

The first angel says:

“Worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.”

The third angel warns:

“If any man worship the beast and his image...”

The fourth message says:

“Come out of her, my people...”

Humanity is therefore being called to make a final decision concerning allegiance.

God or Satan?

God's commandments or the commandments of men?

Truth or error?

Light or darkness?

Worship the Creator on the Seventh Day Sabbath or worship the beast Sunday worship? This contest will go forward, and all will be left to decided which side they will be on. It is up to them. Everyone has free will to decide.

THE FINAL ISSUE CONCERNING THE SABBATH

The fourth commandment begins:

“Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.”
— Exodus 20:8

The Sabbath points directly to the Creator:

“For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is...”

Within this prophetic framework, the Sabbath becomes an important issue in the final controversy over worship.

Sunday observance becomes the mark-of-the-beast issue when religious observance is enforced by civil law and the truth concerning God's seventh-day Sabbath has been clearly presented.

THE PRINCIPLE OF OBEDIENCE

Acts 5:29

“We ought to obey God rather than men.”

When human authority conflicts with God's revealed Word, God's people are called to remain faithful to God.

The final test will reveal where each person's allegiance truly lies.

THE DANGER OF A PROFESSION WITHOUT OBEDIENCE

Matthew 7:21–23

Jesus said:

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven...”

And to those who merely professed His name while living in disobedience, He said:

“I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”

This demonstrates that a profession of Christianity by itself is not enough.

Our profession must be accompanied by a life surrendered to Christ in obedience to that very law which governs His kingdom and our conduct. Yes, we will fall into sin, but we have a Saviour who will pardon us and delete our sins if we confess and ask. But for those who sin away and don't care and turn the cross of Christ into lawlessness, they will face Christ in the end and give an account. We are to walk in the Spirit and contend against the flesh and strive for the mastery.

CHRISTIANITY MUST PRODUCE FRUIT

Matthew 7:17–20

“Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.”

Jesus concludes:

“Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”

The question is therefore not simply:

“What do we profess?”

It is also:

“What does our life reveal?”

THE FINAL WARNING

The third angel gives the solemn warning:

Revelation 14:10 (KJV)
“The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation...”

This warning should not be ignored.

God is calling humanity to repentance, faith, obedience, and true worship before the final judgments fall.

THE CENTRAL MESSAGE OF THE THREE ANGELS

The three angels' messages can be summarized as follows:

1. FIRST ANGEL

Fear God.

Give Him glory.

The hour of His judgment is come.

Worship the Creator.

2. SECOND ANGEL

Babylon is fallen.

Reject spiritual confusion and false worship.

3. THIRD ANGEL

Do not worship the beast or his image.

Do not receive his mark.

Remain faithful to God.

4. ANOTHER ANGEL'S MESSAGE

“Come out of her, my people.”

Separate from Babylon's sins and remain faithful to God's Word.

FINAL APPEAL

The world is being called to make a decision.

The final controversy will reveal where our allegiance truly lies.

God calls us to:

  • Fear Him.
  • Give Him glory.
  • Worship Him as Creator.
  • Keep His commandments.
  • Have the faith of Jesus.
  • Reject false worship.
  • Reject spiritual deception.
  • Come out of Babylon.
  • Remain faithful during persecution.
  • Trust completely in Jesus Christ.

The issue is ultimately one of worship and allegiance.

We cannot serve two masters.

The question each person must answer is:

Whom will I worship?

God's Word gives the answer:

Revelation 14:12

“Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.”

And the final promise is:

Revelation 22:14

“Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.”

May we receive the everlasting gospel, remain faithful to Jesus Christ, search the Scriptures for ourselves, and obey God rather than men.

May the Lord bless you as you study His Word and seek to understand the truth.
